№ 83 · RESTORATION
Restore without inventing details that were never there
№ The prompt
Restore this photo, but do not invent anything. Repair scratches, creases, and fading, and recover only detail that is genuinely present in the scan. Do not fabricate missing facial features, clothing patterns, objects, or background where the original is blank, blown out, or destroyed. If an area is genuinely lost, leave it neutral and unreconstructed rather than guessing what was there. I would rather have an honest, partly-incomplete restoration than a convincing invention.
№ How to use it
Input
A damaged photo scan; flag which areas are missing or destroyed versus merely faded.
Preserve
Only what is genuinely present; lost areas stay conservative and unreconstructed.
Avoid
Inventing missing features, objects, or background; presenting fabricated detail as recovered.
